AFA Educator Grant Program

About this program

The Air & Space Forces Association (AFA) Educator Grant Program funds K–12 classroom projects that promote aerospace education with historical relevance and strong STEM connections. Applications are accepted annually Sept. 1–Dec. 15 and are competitively reviewed by a panel of external aerospace education experts. Eligible applicants are K–12 teachers (one grant per teacher, maximum two teachers per school); projects must benefit at least 15 students and conform to allowable uses (e.g., demonstration kits, science supplies, K–12 software, flight/robotics materials) while excluding competition fees, promotional items, workshop fees, and other ineligible expenses. Recipients must acknowledge AFA publicly, announce the grant to parents and faculty, post the lesson plan online, and submit a grant survey and itemized final report within six months; applications are submitted online at www.afa.org/grants.
