Affordable Housing Trust Fund

About this program

The East Tennessee Foundation offers the Affordable Housing Trust Fund to support the production, preservation, and rehabilitation of owner-occupied housing for low-income households, as well as rental opportunities for very low-income households in Knoxville. Funding may be awarded as secured loans, lines of credit, forgivable loans, grants, or combinations thereof, with eligible activities including new construction, home repairs, and homebuyer education. Applicants must be nonprofit or governmental entities actively engaged in affordable housing initiatives within the City of Knoxville and must adhere to non-discrimination policies based on protected characteristics. Applications are due annually by August 1st and are reviewed by the Advisory Board during their fall meeting.
