AGA-Bern Schwartz Family Fund Research Scholar Award in Pancreatic Cancer (Fund B)

About this program

The American Gastroenterological Association, with support from the Bern Schwartz Family Fund and AGA Research Foundation Endowment Fund, offers one Research Scholar Award providing $100,000 annually for three years ($300,000 total) for early-career investigators pursuing independent pancreatic cancer research. Eligible applicants must hold an MD, PhD, or equivalent degree; have a full-time faculty or equivalent position at a North American institution by July 2027; and be within seven years of completing clinical training or receiving a PhD. Applicants must be AGA members, conduct research relevant to pancreatic cancer, commit at least 50% effort to the project, and have institutional support plus a sponsor and mentor. Applications are due December 2, 2026, for funding beginning July 1, 2027.
