AGA-Takeda Pharmaceuticals Research Scholar Award in Inflammatory Bowel Disease

The American Gastroenterological Association, with funding from Takeda Pharmaceuticals U.S.A., offers one AGA-Takeda Pharmaceuticals Research Scholar Award providing $100,000 annually for three years ($300,000 total) to support early-career faculty pursuing independent basic, translational, or clinical inflammatory bowel disease research. Applicants must hold an MD, PhD, or equivalent degree; be in a full-time faculty or equivalent position at a North American institution by July 1, 2027; and meet the seven-year early-career limit. AGA membership, a sponsor and mentor, institutional commitment to at least 50% protected research effort, and submission by December 2, 2026, are required.
