AJ Harris Graduate Student Research Award (Memorial Fundraiser)

The Botanical Society of America is establishing the AJ Harris Graduate Student Research Award to honor the late evolutionary biologist AJ Harris and to support graduate student research in botany; an initial $20,000 endowment has been reached and a further $5,000 fundraising goal was set to raise the annual award to $1,500. The award funds graduate research in botanical and allied fields, reflecting Harris’s integrative work across specimen‑based science, phylogenomics, paleobotany, biogeography, and computational biology. Eligibility is limited to graduate students and is open to non‑U.S. citizens.
