Albert R. and Alma Shadle Fellowship

The American Society of Mammalogists’ Grants‑in‑Aid Committee awards the Albert R. and Alma Shadle Fellowship and the ASM Fellowship to support and recognize graduate research and achievement in mammalogy. These awards provide financial support and professional recognition for graduate students conducting research on mammals and for those demonstrating outstanding accomplishments and future potential. Eligibility is limited to graduate student members of the ASM whose research proposals or track record demonstrate strong scholarly merit; the ASM Fellowship places additional weight on service to the Society and exceptional future promise. Applicants are considered through the Grants‑in‑Aid Committee’s nomination/application process and must follow the Society’s submission guidelines and deadlines available from the ASM Business Office.
