About this program

The College Art Association (CAA) presents the annual Alfred H. Barr Jr. Award for museum scholarship to the author(s) of an especially distinguished catalogue in the history of art. The prize recognizes exhibition catalogues and catalogues of public or private collections (or substantial portions thereof) published in English under the auspices of a museum, library, or collection. Eligible works must be published in English and issued under institutional auspices; recipients are selected annually by a juried CAA panel.
