Alzheimer’s Association AI-BOND Leaders Pilot Awards in Brain Health

The Alzheimer’s Association, in partnership with the African Initiative for Bioinformatics Online Training in Neurodegenerative Diseases (AI-BOND), offers invitation-only pilot awards of up to $16,500 for one- to two-year projects advancing bioinformatics-based secondary data analysis in brain health, Alzheimer’s disease, and related neurodegenerative diseases in Africa. Proposals that use African datasets or address Africa-specific questions are preferred. Applicants must be current or former AI-BOND trainees, full-time employees or students, and submit through an eligible nonprofit research institution, with one primary PI per proposal. A letter of intent is due July 31, 2026, followed by full applications due October 7, 2026.
