About this program
The American Marketing Association’s AMA‑Irwin‑McGraw‑Hill Distinguished Marketing Educator Award recognizes living marketing educators for sustained, multi‑faceted contributions to marketing education and is presented at the AMA Winter Academic Conference. Eligible nominees are marketing educators with a long‑term record of contributions across research, teaching, administration, service and public engagement; nominations may be submitted by individuals or marketing departments. Nominators must provide an electronic packet including a letter (≤4 pages) summarizing accomplishments with Web of Science and Google Scholar citation counts, a current CV, and a one‑page citation summary listing totals and the nominee’s ten most‑cited publications with citation counts. The Irwin Award Committee selects the winner using six criteria (creativity/innovativeness; administrative contributions; teaching and mentoring; public service; research; and service to the profession), and nominations are automatically considered for up to three years.
