About this program
The Amarillo Area Foundation provides discretionary grants to support eligible nonprofit organizations in their mission-driven activities. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) Public Charities, 509(a)(1) Traditional Charities, 509(a)(2) Publicly Supported Charities, and certain 509(a)(3) Supporting Organizations (Type 1 and Type 2 Functionally Integrated). Organizations must hold IRS tax exemption status and meet public support test requirements, while Mutual Benefit Organizations (501(c)(4)-(c)(19)) are ineligible.
