Amazon Research Awards (ARA) Robotics Call for Proposals

About this program

Amazon Robotics (via the Amazon Research Awards program) solicits proposals for robotics research across Human–Robot Interaction, Autonomous Navigation and Mobility, Manipulation, Multi‑robot Systems, and Artificial Intelligence for Robotics, supporting both theoretical advances and practical applications. Selected PIs may receive one‑year unrestricted awards (average up to $80,000 USD) plus AWS Promotional Credits (up to $20,000) and training resources; budgets must be itemized in USD and exclude institutional overhead. Applicants must follow the ARA program rules and proposal template, specify their chosen subcategory and research topics, list planned open‑source contributions and any AWS tools to be used, and will be evaluated on scientific quality and potential impact. Awardees are expected to acknowledge support, report publications/code/data and project updates, and may participate in Amazon research events such as the Robotics Research Symposium.
