American Psychoanalytic Foundation Grants

About this program

The American Psychoanalytic Foundation (APF) provides grants to support creative, innovative programs that promote understanding of psychoanalysis and disseminate psychoanalytic ideas and services to mental health professionals and the public. Funding generally supports U.S.-based projects with community outreach, national or broad applicability, transportability to other organizations, and potential for co-funding or matching support; applications are accepted year-round.

APsA members and non-members may apply individually or on behalf of a psychoanalytic institute, center, or society. Proposed initiatives must be new rather than routine organizational activities, and applicants must submit a detailed project description, budget, funding plan, organizational information, and evidence of applicable nonprofit status where relevant.
