AMS Explore undergraduate travel grant and presentation program (2025 AMS-SMT Joint Annual Meeting)

About this program

American Musicological Society’s AMS Explore program provides travel support and mentoring for current and recent undergraduates to present 10‑minute papers as part of an AMS Explore symposium at the 2025 AMS‑SMT Joint Annual Meeting in Minneapolis, MN (Nov 6–9, 2025). Accepted participants receive complimentary conference registration, a $350 travel grant, and free shared lodging in the conference hotel, and participate in cohort activities including panel discussion and constructive feedback. Eligibility is limited to current undergraduates or those who graduated within the last three years and are not yet enrolled in graduate programs; applicants must be students or recent graduates of U.S. or Canadian institutions (international students eligible if affiliated with a U.S./Canadian institution). Applications require a personal statement (max 550 words) and a paper proposal abstract (max 350 words) submitted via Submittable.
