ANA Awards for Excellence

About this program

American Neurological Association offers the ANA Awards for Excellence to recognize up to three individuals across four categories—Clinical and Scientific Excellence, Education, Service, and Contribution in a Senior Administrative Role—with recipients receiving a $1,000 honorarium, complimentary annual meeting registration, and a commemorative plaque. Awards honor exceptional contributions to neurology and neuroscience, including novel scientific advances, therapeutics and diagnostics, transformative educational impact, high‑impact ANA service (service nominees must be ANA members in good standing), or sustained senior administrative leadership in government, industry, societies, or academia. Nominations must include a nominee statement (≤2 double‑spaced pages), a highlighted CV, and two ≤2‑page letters (a nomination and a seconding letter, preferably external) that indicate whether the contribution is career‑based (>15–20 years) or discrete (<15 years).
