Anatomy Scholars Program

About this program

The American Association for Anatomy’s Anatomy Scholars Program supports early-stage faculty and senior students, residents, or fellows pursuing academic careers in anatomy and related fields who have experienced or face barriers in academia. The program provides peer support, professional-development training, and mentorship focused on grant writing, work-life balance, teaching, mentoring, and laboratory management to promote retention and inclusion. Applicants must be within the first 10 years of their original faculty appointment or be senior-level trainees intending to become faculty; applications open August 27, 2026, and are due November 23, 2026.
