Animal Welfare Grants (Forsyth County)

The Winston‑Salem Foundation offers Animal Welfare Grants of up to $25,000 to support capital improvements, capacity‑building, and program support for animal welfare organizations serving Forsyth County, NC. Eligible applicants are animal‑focused nonprofits that primarily serve Forsyth County (organizations based outside the county may be considered for the portion of a project that impacts Forsyth County); allowable expenses include facility renovations and ADA upgrades, major equipment, technology, organizational assessments, strategic planning, supplies for animal care, emergency veterinary assistance, and volunteer or outreach support. The grant cycle is biannual with the next cycle in 2027; faith‑based organizations providing social services (not solely to a single congregation or to promote doctrine) may apply, and applicants are encouraged to consult the Foundation’s program officer before submitting.
