Anna Marguerite McCann Award for Fieldwork Reports

The Archaeological Institute of America offers the Anna Marguerite McCann Award for Fieldwork Reports to recognize an outstanding monograph presenting results from an archaeological excavation, survey, or related field project. Eligible works may be single- or multi-authored or edited volumes and should discuss methods, clearly analyze primary data, and advance archaeological research; publications must have appeared within the four calendar years preceding the award’s Annual Meeting year. Authors, editors, AIA members, publishers, and other nominators may submit eligible works by March 15, 2027; the primary author, editor, or principal investigator of a selected volume must join the AIA if not already a member.
