Anne Arundel County Community Tree Planting Mini Grant Program

About this program

Chesapeake Bay Trust, in partnership with the Anne Arundel County Forestry Board and the City of Annapolis, offers mini-grants of up to $5,000 to support community tree canopy projects, specifically tree plantings and invasive species removal within Anne Arundel County and the City of Annapolis. Eligible applicants include non-profit organizations, community associations, faith-based organizations, and other community-based groups. Applications are submitted through the Chesapeake Bay Trust online portal on a rolling basis until funds are expended; proposals must be received at least eight weeks before the proposed project start date (ideally four weeks prior to a Forestry Board meeting), match funding is encouraged but not required, and grant funds may not be used to remove dead or dying trees.
