Annibel Jenkins Biography Prize

About this program

The American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies (ASECS) awards the biennial Annibel Jenkins Biography Prize, a $1,000 award for the best book-length biography of a late seventeenth- or eighteenth-century subject; the next prize will be presented in 2027. Eligible books must carry a copyright date between 15 November 2024 and 14 November 2026 and may be nominated by the author or the publisher. The author must be an ASECS member at the time of submission, and three copies of the nominated book must be received by the ASECS Business Office by 15 November 2026. Submissions are normally in English; works in other languages may be permitted but could be difficult for the committee to assess.
