Annual Meeting Travel Grants

About this program

Seismological Society of America (SSA) is offering 2027 Annual Meeting Travel Grants that cover complimentary registration plus funds for lodging, meals, and travel to support attendance. Five grant types are available: Student (SSA student members, domestic or international), Early‑Career (members within six years of their terminal degree), International (non‑U.S. resident SSA members six or more years post‑degree), ESC/SSA (any traveler from an European Seismological Commission member state; SSA membership not required), and Domestic Regular Member (domestic travelers with regular SSA membership; government employees ineligible). Applicants must be first authors and present their work if awarded; student and early‑career applicants need a 1–2 paragraph faculty/supervisor letter submitted by 30 November 2026, only one award per category per institution is allowed, conveners may apply without an abstract, and applications are open 1–30 November 2026 (questions: ssagrants@seismosoc.org).
