Annual Meeting Travel Grants

About this program

The Seismological Society of America (SSA) offers Annual Meeting Travel Grants—including the Student Travel Grant (for SSA student members who must travel more than 500 km/311 miles), the International Travel Grant (for non‑student SSA members traveling from outside the U.S.), and the ESC/SSA Travel Grant (for travelers from European Seismological Commission member states)—to cover meeting registration and provide a modest cash award. Eligibility is specific to each category (student status and distance, SSA membership and country of origin, or ESC membership) and only one award per institution may be made. Applications are accepted annually from 1–30 November (due by 5 p.m. Pacific); student applicants must have a faculty advisor submit a 1–2 paragraph letter of support to ssagrants@seismosoc.org by the deadline.
