The Anonymous Was A Woman Foundation offers Environmental Art Grants (AWAW EAG) of up to $20,000 to support women-identifying artists in the U.S. and its territories, funding projects that address environmental issues through thought-provoking and ethically engaged art. For the 2025 cycle, over $520,000 will be distributed to projects that demonstrate creativity, environmental impact, and public engagement, with completion by August 2026. Eligibility is limited to women-identifying artists aged 18 or older, including trans women and those of variable gender identities designated female at birth, who are not enrolled in degree programs and have not previously received an AWAW EAG as the lead applicant. Collaborative projects are welcome, but organizations, NYFA/AWAW employees, board members, and their immediate family members are ineligible.
