Anthropic Economic Futures Program — Research Awards, Policy Symposia, and Strategic Partnerships

About this program

Anthropic’s Economic Futures program funds multidisciplinary research, policy development, and data-infrastructure projects to measure and inform responses to AI’s economic transformation, offering Research Awards ($10,000–$50,000), Claude API credits, consultation on the Anthropic Economic Index, and opportunities to present at policy symposia. Research Awards support original empirical work using econometric methods, data analysis, or novel data collection that can be completed and publicly shared within six months; applicants should be quantitative economists, academic researchers, data scientists, or PhD students. Evidence-based policy proposals (2–3 page briefs) with actionable implementation pathways on productivity, labor transitions, fiscal policy, or social insurance are eligible for symposia consideration (Washington, DC deadline July 25, 2025; London deadline September 12, 2025), with travel, honoraria, and direct policymaker access for selected submissions. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis with initial awards in mid‑August, and independent research institutions may seek strategic partnerships by emailing economicfutures@anthropic.com.
