Antimicrobial Stewardship Centers of Excellence Designation

About this program

The Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) invites hospitals to apply for designation as an Antimicrobial Stewardship Center of Excellence, recognizing exemplary antimicrobial stewardship programs and providing a two-year limited license to use IDSA names and trademarks. Applications are due electronically by July 1, 2026; there is no application fee, but approved hospitals must pay a $5,000 two-year designation fee. Individual hospitals, including separately licensed children’s hospitals, are eligible to apply and must submit supporting documentation demonstrating that program criteria are met; hospitals outside the United States may apply without the NHSN data requirement.
