About this program

AO Foundation offers seed funding for innovative musculoskeletal trauma research, with a focus on fostering young clinicians' academic careers. The mini grants provide up to CHF 15,000 for projects aligned with 'fracture non-union' or 'patient outcome' topics, and particularly encourage applications from Low- and Middle-Income Countries.

Eligible applicants must be residents of Europe or Southern Africa, aged 40 or under, and have active membership in AO clinical divisions. Special consideration is given to LMIC applicants, and projects involving animal models require additional guidelines.
