AO/OF Research Grant — Dental Implant Research (up to $50,000)

About this program

The AO/OF Research Grant offers up to $50,000 to dental professionals conducting innovative dental implant research—particularly projects that enhance public acceptance of implants—with the 2027 application opening in Fall 2026. Applicants must be AO members, faculty, or student members conducting research at an academic dental institution (at least one team member must be an AO member) and may apply in one of three categories: Basic Science, Translational and Clinical Science, or Restorative Dentistry; the AO/OF Research Grant Committee will award $50,000 grants to the top proposal in each category. First-place recipients are required to present their results at the 2026 AO Annual Meeting and submit a manuscript to The International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants (JOMI).
