AOS Student Presentation Awards

About this program

The American Ornithological Society (AOS) offers Student Presentation Awards recognizing outstanding student poster and oral presentations at its annual meeting, with honoraria of $500–$1,000. Awards cover research in ornithology broadly, including avian conservation and behavior. Applicants must be current AOS members, full-time or recently graduated students, and the sole presenting author of an eligible poster or oral presentation; students graduating the semester before the meeting may also apply. Candidates must submit an abstract through the meeting portal, meet AOS conduct and ethics standards, and may receive only one award during their lifetime.
