About this program

The Notre Dame Institute for Ethics and the Common Good’s DELTA Partner Program will award up to ten Rapid Response Grants of up to $100,000 each to fund 4–5 month projects (April–September 2026) that investigate ethical and spiritual dimensions of AI and translate insights into practical, scalable tools aligned with the DELTA framework (Dignity, Embodiment, Love, Transcendence, Agency). Projects should focus on K–8 or high school curriculum/resources/professional development, pastoral training for Christian denominations, or major public-facing creative initiatives, and awardees must present deliverables at the Notre Dame Summit on AI, Faith, and Human Flourishing (Sept 21–23, 2026). Eligible applicants include religious organizations and denominations; academic and K–12/higher education institutions; policy institutes, think tanks, advocacy groups; media producers and public-interest organizations; and national organizations working at the intersection of AI, ethics, and faith; applicants must designate a PI who can attend the summit and participate in a Community of Practice, bi-weekly meetings, progress reporting, and regular consultations with the DELTA Director. Applications are due Feb 26, 2026 via Interfolio and must include a cover letter/statement of interest, PI CV (≤4 pages), executive summary (≤400 words), project proposal (≤5 pages), and itemized budget using the DELTA Budget Template (no indirect costs); Rapid Response grantees may later compete for multi-year Impact Grants.
