Arizona Retail Florist Education Travel Grant

About this program

The American Floral Endowment (AFE) administers the Arizona Retail Florist Education Travel Grant to provide travel reimbursement for one traditional retail florist from Arizona each year to attend out‑of‑state floral industry educational or design events. Awards are up to $1,000 and are paid as reimbursement after the event; a recipient may receive the grant only once every five years and recipients are chosen annually by AFE’s Education Committee. Eligible applicants are owners, managers, or employees of brick‑and‑mortar retail florists located in Arizona, and the requested grant must cover an event held outside Arizona (exceptions for national programs held in Arizona). The program gives weight to applicants who expand the variety of programs they attend and seeks diversity in funded events; eligible activities include floral design schools, SAF Convention, FTD Boot Camp, Floriology Institute, Teleflora Academy events, state/regional conventions, Cultivate, PFCI classes, and AIFD Symposiums.
