ARO Mini-Grant Program (2025)

About this program

The Association for Research in Otolaryngology (ARO) Communication Committee offers Mini-Grants of up to $1,000 to individual ARO and spARO members to fund one-year, in-person outreach events and development of sustainable partnerships with local community organizations that advance education on the physiology, pathologies, and therapies of hearing and balance. Applicants must be ARO or spARO members and submit proposals that demonstrate strong community partnerships, feasibility, impact, and plans for sustained engagement (examples include science fairs, arts–science collaborations, or school education series); proposals should explain how funding will add value to any existing programs. Awards are made on a rolling monthly review until annual funds are exhausted (ARO anticipates ~10 awards/year); recipients must submit a final report and may be eligible for additional funding if a sustainability plan is prioritized—contact ARO Headquarters for details.
