ARSC Conference Grants

About this program

Association for Recorded Sound Collections (ARSC) Conference Grants provide complimentary registration for the Annual Conference, Workshop, and awards banquet and reimburse travel and lodging expenses typically up to US$750 (rental cars in the conference city are not reimbursable). Grants are intended to help ARSC members new to the association—especially students, recent graduates, professionals within the first five years of their careers, and discographers/collectors/researchers with publication prospects—attend, engage in mentoring and professional development, and participate in association activities. Applicants must be planning to attend their first ARSC Conference (some program text allows first or second attendance) and are preferred to attend the entire conference including the workshop; applicants may indicate if they are requesting BIPOC/LGBTQIA-designated funds in their Letter of Application. Complete applications (Letter of Application, brief CV/resume, and one letter of support submitted directly by the recommender) must be emailed as attachments to arsc.travel.grants@gmail.com by the second Monday in January; applicants are generally notified by the second Monday in February.
