About this program

College Art Association’s Arthur Kingsley Porter Prize (est. 1957) recognizes a distinguished article published in The Art Bulletin during the previous year, honoring outstanding scholarship in art and architectural history. The award is intended to encourage high scholarly standards among early-career researchers. Eligible applicants are the article’s author who is either under age 35 or who received the doctorate no more than ten years before the article’s acceptance, and the work must have been published in The Art Bulletin in the prior year.
