Artists Count: San Diego + Tijuana

About this program

Artists Count is a binational initiative led by San Diego ART Matters and the International Community Foundation in partnership with the Prebys Foundation and the City of San Diego, providing $1.3 million in funding, professional development, entrepreneurship training, and networking for artists in San Diego County, the City of San Diego, and Tijuana. The initiative also includes research on artists’ working conditions and the region’s creative economy to inform future policies and funding priorities.

Individual working artists must first complete an eligibility survey and, if they qualify, submit a full application. Reviewers will prioritize original projects with clear intentions and compelling visions for advancing applicants’ artistic practices or long-term professional goals; artists are also encouraged to participate in the research survey.
