ARVO Foundation Early Career Clinician-Scientist Research Awards

The ARVO Foundation offers Early Career Clinician-Scientist Research Awards to recognize significant basic or clinical vision research presented at the ARVO Annual Meeting. Each award includes a $3,000 honorarium, an inscribed award, and invitations to special meeting events; applications open October 16 and close December 4, 2026, through the meeting abstract submission process. Eligible applicants must hold an MD or equivalent clinical degree, have an academic faculty or comparable appointment, demonstrate a commitment to a clinician-scientist career with protected research time, and have current or prior mentorship experience. Candidates must opt in for consideration when submitting their abstract, with recipients notified in February 2027.
