The American Sociological Association (ASA) offers Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Grants to support empirical research in sociology. These grants, worth up to $16,000 each, are open to doctoral students enrolled in accredited US institutions, who have completed pre-dissertation requirements and are sponsored by a faculty member.
