About this program
The American Statistical Association (ASA) offers the ASA Pride Scholarship to support LGBTQ+ statisticians, data scientists, and allies, with recipients receiving $1,000 for professional development. Applicants must be enrolled in a graduate statistics or data science program or have completed a related degree within five years of the award date, and must identify as LGBTQ+ or an ally. Self-nominations and nominations are accepted by March 1 and require a résumé or CV and a 1–2-page personal statement; nominations also require a nomination letter.
