About this program
The Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES) offers a First Book Subvention Program, providing up to $2,500 to support first-time authors with publishing costs. This program aims to assist authors who have secured publishing contracts and are making scholarly contributions to the field.
Eligible applicants must be ASEEES members, with manuscripts in English, and the program particularly encourages applications from authors with demonstrated financial need. The committee evaluates submissions based on scholarly merit and the need for subvention support.
