ASGE Diversity and Inclusion Research Grant

About this program

The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) offers the annual Diversity and Inclusion Research Grant to support studies on minority health and healthcare disparities in gastrointestinal diseases, prioritizing projects that systematically identify a clinical issue, implement an intervention, and measure post‑intervention outcomes with potential to change clinical practice. One award is given annually; ASGE may consider funding a single international project (up to $50,000) if the proposal justifies an international site and relevance to ASGE membership. Applicants must be current ASGE members holding an MD or equivalent and be practicing in North America (international members eligible under the noted condition), and prior ASGE grantees who are delinquent on obligations are ineligible. Trainees must provide a division chief letter confirming appointment (or contingency plan) and a research mentor letter of support, and applications are submitted electronically as a single PDF containing the abstract, full proposal, biosketches, budget, resources, supporting letters, and IRB approval when available.
