ASHRAE Graduate Student Grant-in-Aid Award

About this program

ASHRAE offers 10–25 annual Graduate Student Grant-in-Aid Awards of up to $20,000 each to support full-time graduate students conducting HVAC&R-related education or research. The award supports personal expenses, requires attendance at an ASHRAE Society meeting, and may include a $3,000 honorarium for an eligible peer-reviewed presentation or publication. Applicants must remain full-time graduate students during the academic year following the award, pursue an ASHRAE-relevant thesis or project under a faculty advisor, and submit an official transcript, research plan, and advisor recommendation; previous recipients may not reapply. Applications must be submitted electronically by 8:00 a.m. EST on March 2, 2027, and students worldwide are eligible.
