ASLA Council of Fellows Scholarships

About this program

The Landscape Architecture Foundation (LAF), via the ASLA Council of Fellows Scholarship Fund, awards annual scholarships to support outstanding undergraduate landscape architecture students with unmet financial need and to increase participation of underrepresented groups in the profession. Awards include one $10,000 scholarship and up to four $5,000 runner‑up scholarships; recipients also receive ASLA Conference registration and a travel stipend, and the application deadline is February 1. Eligible applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents enrolled in their 2nd–5th year of a LAAB‑accredited undergraduate landscape architecture program (graduate students and non‑baccalaureate MLA students are ineligible), with priority given to those demonstrating financial need and from underrepresented populations. Applications are submitted online and require a headshot, 150‑word bio, resume, financial aid form, two recommendation letters (one from faculty), and a 500‑word essay, all adhering to LAF guidelines.
