About this program

ASME's Charles J. Wilson Fastener Travel Grant provides travel funding to Master's and Ph.D. students who are advancing the study of fasteners by presenting an accepted paper at a technical society conference, domestic or international. Applicants must be enrolled at a U.S. or Canadian university and a $1,250 stipend is awarded semi-annually (Jan–Jun, Jul–Dec) on a first-come, first-served basis. Required materials are a cover letter, proof of paper acceptance, and a 1–2 page personal statement (the statement will be shared with the donor); awards are reviewed by ASME’s Committee on Engineering Education.
