ASO Awards (UKCO 2025)

About this program

The Association for the Study of Obesity (ASO) is offering two awards for UKCO 2025: the ASO Best Practice Award for excellence in obesity management and treatment (children, adolescents or adults) and the ASO Ken Clare Award for outstanding patient and public involvement and engagement in obesity research. Winners receive a £250 prize, reimbursement for reasonable travel expenses subject to the UKCO travel and expense policy, and access to the lowest UKCO 2025 registration rate. Eligible applicants must be ASO members who have submitted an abstract directly related to their award application, must not have received an ASO award as an individual or team in the past three years, and teams must clearly identify all members when applying. ASO membership is open to obesity researchers, clinicians, academics, scientists and students (student membership £30/year); enquiries can be directed to the ASO Secretariat.
