ASPP Student Research Grant Award

About this program

The Association of School Psychologists of Pennsylvania (ASPP) offers Student Research Grant Awards to support empirical graduate research that advances the science and practice of school psychology, providing up to $1,500 per review cycle (maximum $3,000 annually) for high‑quality quantitative, qualitative, meta‑analytic, or single‑case design studies aligned with the NASP Practice Model. Awards are discretionary, cannot fund travel beyond the research scope or payments to the applicant, and require IRB approval prior to release of funds; recipients must submit a final report within six months of the funding period. Eligible applicants are doctoral or specialist students matriculated in NASP‑approved school psychology programs in Pennsylvania who are ASPP members and who provide a signed mentorship plan with a primary faculty mentor committed to close advisement. Proposals must be empirical (no non‑empirical literature reviews), follow APA formatting, include an abstract, research strategy, timeline, and an itemized budget (≤ $1,500), and be submitted as a single PDF by June 15 or December 15.
