ASTRO-ACS Clinician Scientist Development Grant (CSDG)

About this program

The American Cancer Society (ACS) and the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) jointly offer the Clinician Scientist Development Grant (CSDG) to support early-career clinician scientists in radiation oncology, fostering their transition to independent investigators while maintaining clinical practice. The grant provides $135,000 annually for direct costs, plus 8% indirect costs, for 3 to 5 years. Eligibility is limited to full-time faculty members at U.S. academic institutions or eligible nonprofits, holding a doctoral degree, an active clinical license, and participating in clinical care; board-certified clinical medical physicists are also eligible. Applicants must not have previously served as principal investigators on R-level or equivalent grants, and individuals from underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.
