ASTRO Policy on Letters of Support

About this program

The American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) offers letters of collaboration for comparative effectiveness research (CER) studies, particularly those involving PCORI or private funding agencies, though it generally does not provide letters of support for NIH-funded research. Eligible applicants are investigators whose projects align with ASTRO's mission and focus on CER. Requests must include a project summary, a clear explanation of ASTRO's role, and evidence of alignment with ASTRO's mission, followed by review by the CER Resource Panel and approval by the Executive Committee. Recipients are encouraged to present findings at the ASTRO Annual Meeting, publish in ASTRO journals, and disseminate results through ASTRO's communication channels.
