ATS-PHA Early Career Award

About this program

Co‑funded by the Pulmonary Hypertension Association and the American Thoracic Society, the ATS‑PHA Early Career Award offers one $50,000, one‑year grant for 2027 to support a junior investigator likely to make a strong, sustained impact in pulmonary hypertension (PH) research. Proposals should investigate PH pathophysiology, elucidate mechanistic pathways, or identify novel therapeutic targets or biomarkers in adult or pediatric PH, with clear potential applicability to human pulmonary vascular disease. Eligible applicants are early‑career investigators; up to $50,000 may be requested for salary and/or supplies, and indirect costs are not supported.
