Award for Dermatologists from Developing Countries

About this program

The Society for Pediatric Dermatology (SPD) offers a biannual Award for Dermatologists from Developing Countries to support a pediatric dermatologist who has made significant contributions in a developing country; the 2026 recipient will be invited to the SPD 51st Annual Meeting (July 22–25, 2026, Minneapolis), receive paid meeting registration and travel, and give a brief presentation. Eligible applicants are dermatologists from developing countries, with priority for those who might otherwise be unable to attend the meeting. Applications must include a CV, headshot, letters of nomination if available, and a one-page personal statement outlining background, reasons for the award, and goals for attending, and may be mailed to Dr. Deepti Gupta, Chair, International Committee, or emailed to info@pedsderm.net.
