AWS Foundation National Scholarships

About this program

The AWS Foundation offers more than 130 National Scholarships totaling over $700,000 for students pursuing associate or bachelor’s degrees in welding or related disciplines, with awards ranging from $2,500 to $10,000 or more. Funds may support tuition, fees, books, supplies, and required equipment and are paid directly to the recipient’s educational institution. Applicants must submit an official transcript, two recommendation letters, personal statements, cost-of-attendance documentation, and a headshot; some awards require demonstrated financial need or prefer AWS student membership. Applications are currently closed, with the next cycle expected to open December 1, 2026, and close March 1, 2027.
