About this program
The American Welding Society (AWS) Foundation offers Welding Educator Professional Development Scholarships to support educators seeking training that enhances their welding instruction and student success. Five national scholarships provide $1,000–$5,000, while AWS’s 22 districts offer awards of $500–$2,000 for eligible educational expenses. Applicants must be current full- or part-time welding educators employed by public or private education-focused organizations; corporate instructors are ineligible. Funding may support degrees, AWS certifications, courses, workshops, tuition, books, supplies, and required equipment, and applications reopen February 1, 2027.
