BAPRAS Leadership Bursary

About this program

The British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) is offering six Leadership Bursaries of £500 each (up to £3,000 annually) to support plastic surgeons undertaking academic leadership study or gaining leadership experience not available in their Deanery; awards are allocated at the Education Committee’s discretion. Funding may be used for study or placements with no restriction on location, and recipients must submit a report of their visit for publication on the BAPRAS website. Applicants must be BAPRAS members and either specialist registrars (ST3–ST8) on a recognised Specialist Advisory training programme or consultant plastic surgeons within the first three years of appointment in the UK or Ireland; applications must include a description of the proposed study or site with stated goals and a CV (maximum two pages), and incomplete applications will not be considered.
